Price is currently testing overhead resistance after closing the last candle on weakness.  That is what we want to see when confirming a short signal… WEAKNESS AT/BELOW RESISTANCE ZONE.

A short entry has been triggered during the current candle because it reached up and tested resistance after weak test .  However, the trend is up and although weakness has appeared, it did not take out/ close below a strength candle.

So, a counter trend short signal has been triggered on the 4hr.  Only you know if you can afford the additional risk…

4hr GBPUSD MON OCT 8 2018 @ 8 13 AM

Last bar took out strength.  However, at the moment price is sitting atop/testing prior weakness below.  Because the down move is against the trend, I would not be looking short but,I would exit any longs.  I would like to see price close inside the weak bar before considering any shorts…
